Free entry week for children
In celebration of National Play Day, The Firs is inviting families to step into a world of imagination and adventure this summer—with free entry for children for one week during the school holidays.

From Monday 4 August - Sunday 10 August, children under 18 can enjoy free admission to The Firs, the birthplace of composer Edward Elgar, and take part in our enchanting Summer of Play experience. Adults standard admission applies.
At this year’s Summer of Play The Firs invites you to step into a world of imagination, where Elgar’s childhood music brings magical adventures to life! Twirl through the weather waltz, picnic with teddy bears, and make music with the Wild Bears Band. Discover fairy doors in the orchard, then shrink or grow to explore the land of fairies and giants! With nature, music, and make-believe around every corner, it’s time to play, explore, and dream big.
Adult admission applies, under 18's qualify for free entry.
Opening hours are Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday 10am-5pm.
