Priority habitat tour with our rangers
Join us for a tour with our rangers to learn how 65 hectares of land have been transformed to become new homes for wildlife.
- Booking essential
- Free event (admission applies)
Thanks to the generous funding from National Highways Designated Funds, in spring 2025 we completed the planting to restore over 65 hectares of priority habitat at The Weir Garden.
Our rangers will take you along the parkland walk and share details about the work that has taken place to create these new long term habitats for wildlife. You'll see newly planted meadows, orchards, woodland and wood pasture.
As you follow the walk, the rangers, who along with a team of volunteers, have planted every single plant for this project, will share details about what's been planted and the nature habitats they will become.
Places are limited for each tour so make sure you book your place for your preferred date.
Tours are free, however normal admission to The Weir Garden applies on the day.
