Artist in Residence: Matthew Eyles

Look out for our next artist in residence, Matthew Eyles.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

Look out for our next artist in residence, Matthew Eyles, as he begins work on his upcoming exhibition 'Thresholds – Light, Memory and Place' at East Riddlesden Hall.

Matthew's work will examine how light, structure and landscape interact within East Riddlesden's historic setting. The paintings, created in acrylic ink and watercolour on paper, will respond to the historic architecture of the hall while also reflecting the surrounding landscape and the National Trust’s ongoing work to care for places of historic and natural significance. Matthew's exhibition is on from Saturday 24th October 2026 to Wednesday 14th April 2027, in the Entrance Chamber located on the first floor of East Riddlesden Hall.
