Get creative this Christmas with a festive family workshops, delivered by the team from Rural Arts.
From crafting beautiful wreaths and handmade stockings to creating sustainable Christmas cards and festive decorations inspired by beloved literary characters, there's something for every young maker to enjoy.
Each session is designed to create something special and meaningful for you to take home, whether it's a wreath worthy of a place on your front door or a unique decoration for your Christmas tree. Along the way, families can also discover Victorian Christmas traditions and festive stories.
While the kids get crafty in Swanley Workshop, grown-ups can relax with a hot drink and soak up the twinkly festive atmosphere at Swanley Grange.
Each workshop lasts 1 hour and is led the team from Rural Arts. Children will be guided through the making process with easy-to-follow steps.

Swanley Grange is accessed on level ground from the Visitor Centre, a 10 minute walk or from West Gate (15 minutes).There is a steep hill (15-20% gradient) to access Swanley.
- Meeting point
Head to the festive hub at Swanley Grange, just a 5 minute walk from the visitor centre.
- Suitability for children
Suitable for ages 4+. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
- What to bring and wear
Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal is an outdoor site. Sturdy footwear will help with uneven ground and steep hills and warm clothes and waterproofs might be a good idea too.
