Conservation in action
Get a closer look at some of the collection items and how the team care for them.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Drop-in during your festive visit to see what the conservation team are working on ahead of the winter deep clean. Often it's a rare chance to peep inside some of the otherwise closed items.
During the sessions the team will be systematically condition checking, preventive cleaning, and documenting what they find. This allows for future planning of more intensive care or monitoring for a further year.
Ask any questions you might have about their work and stay for a while watching their careful and considered processes.
