As part of our Summer of Play, we've teamed up with South Yorkshire Orienteers so you can give orienteering a go.
Orienteering is a great way to get out and explore the outdoors. It does not matter how young, old or fit you are as you can choose the course that's right for you and run, jog or walk it at your own pace.
The aim is to navigate between control points marked on an orienteering map and decide the best route to complete the course. No experience of orienteering is necessary as someone will be on hand to explain what to do.
There are 2 pop-up courses to have a go at. You can do both if you enjoy it and have time! Please note these are different routes to our permanent orienteering courses.
If you can’t make this date, but would like to have a go at orienteering on another day, trail maps for our permanent courses can be purchased at the Visitor Reception every day of the week.
