Join our outdoors team for a walk round the site to explore the different fungi we have here at Wentworth Castle Gardens.
From grassland waxcaps to the classic toadstools, we will discuss the names, folklore and traditional uses of mushrooms.
The route of the walk will vary depending on the fungi growing at the time but expect to walk as far as the castle with some areas off the main paths.

Children are welcome, accompanied by their adults.
- Meeting point
Meet at the visitor information shed opposite the play area.
- What to bring and wear
Wear sturdy footwear, such as walking boots.
- Accessibility
Some of the route will take you off the main paths. If you'd like to book the tramper (off road mobility scooter) for the walk, please email wentworthcastlegardens@nationaltrust.org.uk
