White Mill on the River Stour, on the Kingston Lacy estate, Dorset

Designated parking. No toilets. Paths and floors uneven with steps. First floor accessed by steep wooden staircase.

Designated parking
There is 1 designated space for disable people adjacent to the Mill. Further disabled visitors can be dropped at the Mill and park in the main car park, which is approx. 100m from the mill across two public roads

Portable ramp (1800mm) is available for access to view Mill.
Steps/uneven terrain
Access is through door (1m wide) via 2 steps (approx. 250mm each) to ascend and 2 steps (approx. 250mm each) to descend. Portable ramp (1800mm) available. Floor surface consists of flag stones and wood. Floors are uneven in places due to the historic nature of the building. First floor is accessed via steep wooden steps

Winter closure

White Mill is now closed for the winter. We reopen on Friday 3 April 2026 and look forward to welcoming you then.
