Cotswold Outdoor has been our exclusive walking partner for 10 years. Their generous support helps us to care for outdoor spaces so everyone can get closer to nature. Learn more about how we work together and the discount available for National Trust supporters.

Getting the nation outdoors

Cotswold Outdoor has been helping customers find their element outdoors for over 50 years. They offer expert advice and a large range of high-quality clothing, equipment and accessories that are made to last for all sorts of active adventures. We share their love of nature, passion for the great outdoors and commitment to sustainable practices.

Since our partnership began in 2015, Cotswold Outdoor has helped us look after precious walking landscapes and trails, inspiring more people to get outside and enjoy being in nature.

Cotswold Outdoor also supports our walking programmes and helps us train and equip walk leaders at 200 of our places to organise regular walks for visitors. Together, we created the Cotswold Outdoor Fund for Improving Access to the Outdoors to break down social barriers so everyone can feel safe and welcome. In 2023, The Mason Mile and the Muslim Hikers community groups received funding for their work, and we plan to support more walking groups each year.

Helping us care for precious places

Through our ongoing partnership, we'll continue our efforts to inspire the nation to explore and discover more of the UK’s coast and countryside, safely and responsibly.

The funds from Cotswold Outdoor help us to care for walking trails so that more people can access the countryside. We’re working together on our new Paths and Trails Programme, which aims to map, fix and celebrate 15,000km of paths and walking trails by 2030.

By providing clear and robust routes for walkers to use, everyone can feel the uplifting effects of nature while also protecting wildlife habitats. Plus, when you use your National Trust supporter discount code at Cotswold Outdoor, up to 7 per cent of the purchase price goes back into helping us look after the places you love to explore.

Discount for National Trust supporters

National Trust supporters receive a 15 per cent discount at Cotswold Outdoor. This can be redeemed online when you sign up to Cotswold Outdoor's free Explore More benefits scheme, or in any Cotswold Outdoor store by showing your active National Trust member card, Handbook or even a receipt from a National Trust café.

This offer expires on 30 September 2026, but may be extended. More details on how to claim the offer are below.

Wild Tales nature podcast

Cotswold Outdoor is sponsoring our new podcast series for nature lovers. Filled with stories of gangster gulls, poison gardens and extreme rangers, these episodes will take you all around our weird, wonderful and utterly wild world.

We’re proud to be long-standing partners of the National Trust, supporting their Paths and Trails Programme across England and Wales. We believe that people are truly in their element outside, so we are delighted to partner with an organisation that shares our values and increases access to these amazing spaces. Together, we are passionate advocates for the outdoors, our planet and enjoying it responsibly.
