The transformation of Wicken Fen's Docky Hut Café is now complete. Having listened to feedback from our visitors, a new, more spacious and inviting seating area has been created, with a larger kitchen equipped to produce an exciting range of food.
Inspired by the unique and beautiful natural environment, the menu of light lunches and treats will feature tasty seasonal dishes, including our own traditional fen speciality: the Docky Lunch.
Pay a visit for coffee and homemade bakes, a delicious lunch or afternoon tea, and enjoy the new surroundings including our stunning wall mural, which reflects the tranquil waterways and verdant landscape surrounding the cafe.
Eating with your four-legged friend
Take your dog into the café – on a short lead – while you choose and order your food.
As space is limited, though, we ask that you don’t sit inside the café with your four-legged friend. You can find a space at our outside tables, or a cosy place in the Visitor Centre to enjoy your food and drinks. Our friendly café team are always happy to help by bringing your food to a table for you.
We always have a dog biscuit on offer at the desk in the Visitor Centre, and water bowls around the outside seating area.
You can grab a coffee to take out on your walk if you prefer. We’d be really grateful if you can bring your own cup (the Visitor Centre has bamboo EcoCups for sale if you need one) so that we can minimise the use of compostable cups. You’ll get 25p off your cuppa if you do.
We've also got picnic tables in front of the boat shed opposite the Cycle Centre if you want to bring your own refreshments.
Organisers of large parties are requested to call the Visitor Centre in advance (01353 720274) to discuss their requirements.
