Summer of fun at Wicken Fen

Children can get closer to nature at Wicken Fen

Join us for fun and adventures throughout the summer. Enjoy the summer buzz by taking part in activities such as pond dipping, den building and geocaching.

Make your first stop the Visitor Centre

Our friendly team will be happy to tell you what activities you can enjoy when you visit.  You’ll be able to pick up what you need for a fen adventure from our Family Discovery Area, or you might want to explore on two (or three) wheels by hiring bikes, or by boat by taking a boat trip.

Drop In

We’ll be changing our drop in activities at regular intervals over the holidays, so why not include Wicken Fen in your family plans several times over the summer break?  You can also complete some of the ’50 Things to do before you’re 11¾’, see 50 things to do before you're 113/4 (PDF / 0.6MB) download for the full list.  You could visit our Woodland Walk 50 Things area to ‘Join Nature’s band’ #25, ‘Build a Den’ #4 or ‘Have fun with sticks’ #12.
