The Mill will be filled with the delicious aroma of warm spices on Good Friday as our volunteer bakers host our hot cross bun demonstration. They’ll also be baking Easter treats on Easter Sunday and finishing the holiday with some indulgent chocolatey recipes now Lent has ended. Find out how to make all these delights with our stoneground wholemeal flour, and take away a recipe card so you can get cracking on some baking fun at home.

Milling demonstrations

Every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday throughout the holiday, as well as Good Friday and Easter Monday.

See how this fully restored working water mill produces stoneground wholemeal flour using the power of the river Itchen. The Mill’s expert millers will guide you round and answer any questions you have about this working watermill.

Important bits – read this before you come:

Our Easter Egg Hunt

Our Easter Egg Hunt is aimed at children aged 5+. Younger children are welcome but may need a bit of help reading from parents. All children must be supervised by an adult at all times. The trail should take about 30 minutes to complete.

To ensure there is chocolate for everyone, we must give only one prize per child. Prizes are subject to availability and may change where necessary. Please bear in mind that if your child has a food allergy, there may be no suitable alternative available.

Admission

Normal admission applies; this means members with their membership card enter for free whilst non-members will need to buy a ticket at reception.
