The Mill is the place to be this Easter, where there's all sorts of family fun to enjoy. Follow clues on our Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt to claim a chocolate treat. For the rest of the Easter holiday, we've got a new telescope trail where both big kids and little ones can get closer to nature and win themselves a fun prize. There’s also plenty of Easter baking and milling demonstrations, plus pumpkin seed planting in our island garden.

Important bits – read this before you come:

Our Easter Egg Hunt

Our Easter Egg Hunt is aimed at children aged 5+. Younger children are welcome but may need a bit of help reading from parents. All children must be supervised by an adult at all times. The trail should take about 30 minutes to complete.

To ensure there is chocolate for everyone, we must give only one prize per child. Prizes are subject to availability and may change where necessary. Please bear in mind that if your child has a food allergy, there may be no suitable alternative available.

Admission

Normal admission applies; this means members with their membership card enter for free whilst non-members will need to buy a ticket at reception.

All visitors pay £2 per child to do the hunt. Visitors will need to show their trail sheet at the end of the hunt in order to pick up their prize.

Baking demonstrations

Sat 6, Friday 19 and Sunday 21 April, 10am - 3pm

Start your Easter holiday with a visit to our baking demonstration where you can sample tasty spring recipes baked by our team of volunteer bakers. On Good Friday, the Mill will be filled with the delicious aroma of warm spices as our bakers host our hot cross bun demonstration, as well as baking our usual favourites. They’ll also be baking Easter treats on Easter Sunday. Find out how to make all these delights with our stoneground wholemeal flour, and take away a recipe card so you can get cracking on some baking fun at home.
