Avebury Ridgeway walk
Starting at the heart of the World Heritage Site, this walk takes you trough the remains of the largest stone circle in the world and along the West Kennet Avenue into beautiful rolling chalk downland. You'll catch glimpses of mysterious Silbury Hill, pass Bronze Age burial mounds and walk along ancient roads with fabulous views.

Around Silbury Hill
This walk takes you around one of the most important sites in the World Heritage Site. Silbury Hill is the largest prehistoric man-made mound in Europe and was built between 4,400 and 4,300 years ago. It would have taken hundreds of people working continually for several years to build Silbury Hill, using only stone and bone tools.

Windmill Hill (The long way round)
An interesting historical walk which takes you past standing stones, a hill once occupied by some of the first farmers n the British Isles and a Second World War airfield gymnasium.

Avebury archaeology walk
Starting at the heart of the Avebury World Heritage Site, this walk takes you through the remains of the largest stone circle in the world and along the West Kennet Avenue into rolling chalk downland.

West Kennet Round
This is a long walk taking in many of the ancient monuments within the Avebury World Heritage Site, including West Kennet Lomg Barrow, the Sanctuary, Silbury Hill and Avebury Henge and Stone Circles. You may also see wildlife such as deer, barn owls, red kites and brown hares as you walk around the landscape.

Discover Windmill Hill
This walk explores the World Heritage Site to the north-west of Avebury. From Windmill Hill you will enjoy spectacular views back towards Avebury and Silbury Hill. The Neolithic earthworks of Windmill Hill still remain though they are difficult to pick out. Walking on Windmill Hill you will be walking in the footsteps of our ancestors over 5500 years ago.

West Kennet Long Barrow
Enjoy a gentle stroll up to the West Kennet Long Barrow, take in the views then enter the dark chambers of the tomb

Stone circle tours
You can join a stone circle tour most days. They usually run from late morning through to mid afternoon (times can vary on the day) and last between 45 minutes and an hour.
