Hall and gallery

If you're interested in history, art and communicating with visitors, the hall and gallery could be perfect for you. We have a visitor engagement team who volunteer on the days we're open to share a little more about the stories of Beningbrough's past and the latest visiting exhibition.

Garden and parkland

How does the garden grow? Get hands-on helping the team with everything from weeding and pruning to edging and planting. For larger projects join the parkland team who head out once a week maintaining paths and fences and managing the woodlands on the wider estate.

Programming and events

Help us to deliver something memorable for visitors. From having the ideas to planning how it can be done, to delivering one of the events or activities on offer throughout the year. This role generally needs volunteers during the school holidays and on weekends and bank holidays.

The York Association of the National Trust (YANT) are a group of people who share a passion for supporting local properties through social activities, walks, trips & events. Joining YANT is open to all - National Trust members and non-members are equally welcome.
