Seasonal Highlights in the Garden
Our summer bedding plants have now been put into the garden and we have planted more dahlias than ever before.
With all of the sunny weather some dahlias have already started to flower. However they will become more established over the next few weeks leading to a fuller display in early September.
We would like to thank all of our gardening volunteers for all the hours they have spent planting and also the Manchester National Trust volunteers for helping prepare the Dahlia Walk. A special thank you to our wonderful volunteer Elaine who has planned this year's display.
Look out for dahlias in other areas of the garden such as by Visitor Reception and in the Verbena Parterre. If you are interested in spotting bees and butterflies, this is a great area to visit. See which butterflies you can spot using our identification signs.
