Museum at Night at Bodiam Castle

Each year many thousands of people visit Bodiam Castle but very few get the opportunity to visit the castle after hours to discover more about the history and architecture of this magnificent monument. Our Museum at Night event offers the opportunity of an intimate guided tour after hours with a delicious 2-course meal.

The castle after hours

There's something amazing about standing in the castle gatehouse and seeing the great oak doors close behind you and without the many visitors who are often walking, chatting and generally enjoying the castle courtyard, you can get more perspective on this ancient medieval castle home.

When the castle is busy it is easy to miss some of the key signs of its former glory and so our Castle Keepers will guide you around to highlight some of the interesting architecture and quirky features that indicate how the castle would have been used as a family home and fortress at the same time and the history from its conception to hand over to the National Trust.
