Feeling peckish?

Our Castle View cafe has reopened and will initially be serving a limited range of takeaway hot and cold drinks and some light snacks. Our Wharf tea-room is open at weekends for hot food, sandwiches and drinks. We’ve introduced new safety measures including closure of our seating areas, screens at our till and collection points, and waymarked routes. We’ll also only be accepting card payment. We look forward to welcoming you back and know that you’ll support us to make this a safe experience for everyone.

Addressing the National Trust's colonial links

Bodiam Castle, along with a number of other places and collections in our care, deals with contentious political histories. Learn more about what we are doing to be inclusive in our work and acknowledge the impact and legacies of colonialism.

Bats at Bodiam Castle

Bodiam Castle hosts one of the largest bat roosts in south-east England, which our team work hard to protect. Look out for our special bat walks in the springtime to get a closer view of the roost.
