Learning and education visits
Thinking about coming for a group visit as a school, coach party or Duke of Edinburgh group?
The National Trust offers a range of outdoor courses in the Shropshire Hills and also accommodates Duke of Edinburgh award groups. Due to limited coach parking we ask that all group and education visits are booked in advance.
Our learning team can offer guided visits tailored to most curriculum needs. We offer sessions including river study, pond/river/woodland habitat study, geology, farm visits and guided walks.
We always encourage our groups to take time to include a walk somewhere on their schedule to take advantage of our team's wealth of knowledge on the wildlife and history of the Long Mynd.
The majority of our visits take place in Carding Mill Valley but we can also offer programs that take in Wilderhope Manor or Wenlock Edge.
You do not need to come to Carding Mill Valley as a guided group as we have limited space every day for self-led groups. These must be booked though the learning team as well.
We host visits from reception all the way up to degree-level students. Get in touch to discuss your needs.
