Family days out this Easter holiday

Castle Drogo has lots of family fun this Easter holiday, from a trail around the garden to going on a Landrover safari at Wild Tribe.

Wild Tribe

On Sunday 2 April, 11am-2pm children and parents can take a Landrover safari to a secret Iron Age hill fort, then paint their own prehistoric pictures, build a roundhouse and try the latest in prehistoric fire lighting technology. Booking essential on 01647 433306.

Signs of spring trail

From Saturday 1-Thursday 13 April, 11am-4pm children can follow the trail around the garden to learn all about the signs of spring, including looking out for spring flowers and birds. (£1, includes a badge as a prize).

Cadbury Egg Hunt

From Friday 14- Monday 17 April, 10am-4pm follow the hunt around the garden and grounds to claim your chocolate prize. (£2 per hunt).

Dog walking path

Bring your 4 legged friend along too for a walk around the garden. The path goes around the formal garden and into the rhododendron garden and orchard.

Crafty castle capers

On Tuesday 4 and 11 April, 11am-4pm children can get their hands dirty in a variety of crafty activities (a small charge applies). On Tuesday 4 the activity will be decorating a bird feeder and on 11 April the activity will be a selection of Easter themed crafts such as deocrating an egg or an egg cup.

Or if you need to run off some energy there are miles of pathways to explore next to the River Teign. There are free walks leaflets to pick up from visitor reception to help you on your way.
