Castle Drogo has lots of family fun this Easter holiday, from a trail around the garden to crafty castle capers.

Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt

From Friday 19-Monday 22 April, 10am-4pm children can follow the trail around the garden to claim their Cadbury chocolate prize. The trail is all about the birds that call Castle Drogo home and the eggs they lay. (£2.50, per trail).

Drewe family trail

From Saturday 6-Thursday 18 April, 11am-4pm follow the trail around the garden learning about the Drewe family and recreating their family photographs. (£1, includes a badge as a prize).

Dog walking path

Bring your 4 legged friend along too for a walk around the garden. The path goes around the formal garden and into the rhododendron garden and orchard.

Crafty castle capers

On Tuesday 9 and 16 April, 11am-4pm children can get their hands dirty in a variety of crafty activities (a small charge applies). On 9 April the activity is pipe cleaner finger puppets (£1) and on the 16 April the activity is decorating a wooden egg (£2).

In the castle

In the castle children can follow the trail around the castle to try on dressing up clothes and solve puzzles.

Walking

The gorge comes alive in spring with the smell of gorse, wildflowers and birds singing. There are a variety of walks from a 1 mile walk around the top of the gorge to all day walks into Fingle Woods.
