Castle Drogo has lots of family fun this Easter holiday, from a trail around the garden to Wild Tribe.

Wild Tribe

On Sunday 8 April, 11am-2pm children and parents can take part in Wild Tribe. This session will be hunting for chocolate in the woods, melting it down to make chocolate lollies and also tapping and drinking tree sap. Adult £4, child £6. Booking essential on 01647 433306.

Natural navigation trail

From Tuesday 3-Sunday 15 April, 11am-4pm children can follow the trail around the garden to learn all about how to navigate using nature. (£1, includes a badge as a prize).

Dog walking path

Bring your 4 legged friend along too for a walk around the garden. The path goes around the formal garden and into the rhododendron garden and orchard.

Crafty castle capers

On Tuesday 3 and 10 April, 11am-4pm children can get their hands dirty in a variety of crafty activities (a small charge applies).


The gorge comes alive in spring with the smell of gorse, wildflowers and birds singing. There are free walks leaflets to pick up from visitor reception to help you on your way.
