Camping Pods

Try a spot of 'glamping' in one of our award winning camping pods.

We have a number of pods available for a stay at Castle Ward. The pods are situated beside the caravan park, set into the woodlands and just a stone's throw from the Strangford Lough. Strangford itself is only a mile away for further adventures.

Provide an attractive, dry and spacious camping area
Have a window and double glazed lockable French doors with blinds
Designed to cut down the noise of heavy rain
Sheep wool insulation for winter warmth as well as carpeting
Heating is provided
Two plug sockets available
Pod guests will require all camping equipment including beds and bedding
Dogs are not permitted in the pods

We have three types of pod available:

The Standard Pod - Accommodates a maximum of 2 adults and 1 child (not suitable for more than 2 adults)

The Family Pod - Accommodate a maximum of 2 adults and 3 children (not suitable for more than 2 adults)

New for 2018

We've introduced two new 'Premier Pods' to the Caravan Park for 2018. The new pods are split into two large sleeping areas, the front is furnished with two single beds including mattresses while the rear area has a raised mattress, forming a double bed which can be used as seating during the day. Heating, lighting and electric points are available inside the pods.

Premier pods are suitable for up to 2 adults and 2 children. Customers should bring their own sleeping bags, lighting and cooking equipment. Dogs are not permitted in the premier pods.
