Minecraft at Castle Ward
A new interactive and exciting partnership between the National Trust and educational resources provider ‘iTeach’ combines the popular Minecraft technology with visits to the beautiful surroundings and historic buildings of Castle Ward.
In a first for the National Trust, schools will be taking an innovative and creative look at Castle Ward’s 18th century Corn Mill and will visit the property to find out more and begin recreating it in the Minecraft App.
This programme is fully approved by the Shared Education Programme in Northern Ireland. Please contact us for more information on how Shared Education can fund your visit.
The programme aims to encourage children’s thinking skills, problem solving ability and collaborative learning. A teachers’ pack is included in the price along with lesson plans and ideas for pre and post-visit work.
- Suitable for Key Stage 2 & Lower Key Stage 3
- Approx 4hrs long, guided
- £6.50 per student, accompanying adults enter free.
