February half-term at Chedworth Roman Villa

Children enjoying puzzles in west range cover shelter

Chedworth Roman Villa is re-opening for the season with a week of fun filled half-term activities for the whole family.

You can follow our special seasonal trail around the site and learn all about the Roman saint, Valentine, or try your hand at our craft activities, including making your own mosaic to take home.

Why not raid our dressing up baskets and fashion yourself as a Roman? It's open to all ages!

Make sure you look out for Appian the Roman mosaicist and craftsman, Dr Quintus, Lady Octavia and Gaia! Our costumed interpreters will be on site during the week, and they are always happy to answer any questions you might have. If you're lucky, Lady Octavia might let you have a look at her beautiful jewellery!

If you're keen to learn more about the history of the villa, join one of our volunteer site guides as they share stories and really bring Chedworth to life.

There are still spaces on our children's mosaic workshop on Wednesday 14 February. Join our mosaic expert and be inspired by the beautiful surroundings. Tickets are £17 per child (including materials, a small snack and a drink) and more information is available on the website.

The ground might be muddy and slippery at this time of year, so do wrap up warm and bring your boots or wellies with you!

Feel free to download a copy of our half-term planner for information about what's happening on site every day.

Please note that there will be no craft activities available on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (12th, 13th and 15th) due to group bookings and ongoing building work.
