The café at Claremont Landscape Garden
Make time to stop at Claremont's atmospheric, bustling café for a cup of tea and a slice of cake. We have lots of tempting treats on our seasonal menus - come in over summer for treats such as sticky sausages, polenta chips and summer slaw, or pepper, tomato and cheese quiche.
The bright, cosy café
Claremont's café is designed in the style of a gardener's bothy, inspired by those who fashioned this beautiful garden over the years.
If Claremont is open, so is the café, until half an hour before we close the gate. It's outside the pay barrier, so feel free to come and enjoy the refreshments whether or not you have time to enjoy the garden.
Light lunches and baked treats
We bake a range of treats on-site in our kitchen, from tempting cakes to sausage rolls. The cook comes in early every morning to make sure you always have fresh scones to enjoy.
We serve a main meal and a selection of light lunches, including jacket potatoes, every day. There's always something for vegetarians, too - usually a soup like pea, lettuce and mint, or a one-pot such as brilliant bean. Though we can't guarantee availability, there's often an option for those with gluten and dairy intolerances.
The menu changes every week, so there's always something new to try on your next visit.
A great cuppa
We take great pride in our hot drinks, serving only fairtrade coffee made from the best ingredients while you wait. If coffee isn't your cup of tea, try our National Trust Everyday tea blend made specially for us by Clipper.
We're fully licensed, and we offer a variety of local ales as well as a range of wines.
Bring along your laptop, tablet or smartphone and take advantage of our free wireless internet.
Be ready for whatever the weather has in store. You can stay cosy indoors with a hot drink on a cold day, or relax outside with an ice-cream on the terrace when the sun shines. Umbrellas offer a place to sit outside for those with furry friends (click here for our dog policy).
