Easter days out at Claremont Landscape Garden

Children on a Cadbury Egg Hunt at Easter

This article was about our Easter holiday activities in 2017. We'll be updating this with 2018 event information next year.

Easter is the perfect time for adventure and exploration at Claremont Landscape Garden. With nature-themed activities including two trails, there's enough to keep the kids happy all through the holidays.

Join the Cadbury Egg Hunt

From Good Friday (14 April) to Easter Monday (17 April), embark on a special nature hunt around the garden to win a delicious Cadbury chocolate treat. £3 per hunt.

Follow in the footsteps of a prince and princess

If one holiday hunt isn't enough, there's another one for you to try between Sat 1 and Wed 12 April. This trail leads you to discover the secret places in the garden that were loved by Princess Charlotte and Prince Leopold in the nineteenth century. Find all the clues for a prize. 50p per trail.

Discover your wild side

To learn how to build a den and other fun nature skills, join an outdoor holiday club for children at Claremont. Wild Learning can be booked for Mon 3-Fri 7 or Mon 10-Thu 13 April.

Get up with the sun

Feeling brave? Experience the tranquility of Claremont as the dawn breaks on a guided walk, with a light breakfast in reward. Saturday 8 April, 6.15-8.15am. Adult £15, child £8 (advance booking required).

Food and drink

The café serves hot and cold lunches every day, as well as meals and lunchboxes for children. Highchairs and bottle-warming facilities are available. This autumn you'll also be able to order drinks from inside the garden, at the hut by the play area.

Facilities for families

There are bicycle locks, puncture repair kits and cycle pumps available from the kiosk. From here you can also borrow umbrellas for kids and adults, picnic blankets, and wheelchairs (please call in advance to reserve). Baby-changing facilities are available in the toilet block outside the pay barrier, and you're welcome to breastfeed. A buggy- and wheelchair-friendly path takes you around the circumference of the lake, and there are covered seats and benches throughout the garden.
