Play area at Claremont Landscape Garden

Claremont play area

Let children blow off some steam and play on child-sized versions of Claremont's garden features, including the grass amphitheatre and Belvedere Tower.

Bringing the past to life

Queen Victoria used to play at Claremont as a child, and now so can you. Our exciting play area offers safe, fun and interactive activities for your children, with a playhouse, ladders, slide and even a climbing wall. Play and develop your imagination in an area inspired by the history of Claremont. Our play area offers a modern take on several features of the eighteenth-century landscape garden, including the Island Pavilion and Belvedere Tower.

Come rain or shine

With its covered areas and all-weather surface, the play area offers something to entertain or amuse no matter what the British weather is doing.

Relax and refresh

Let the children run out of steam, then take a trip next door to the café for a break. Then take a walk around the lake to enjoy more fun and games in the Thatched Cottage.

We’re eco-friendly

All the timber used in the play area comes from forests certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.

Playing safely

The play area is situated within the pay-for-entry area of the garden. Age restrictions to the play equipment apply and children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Please note the children's play area may be closed during extreme weather conditions, in particular icy or snow conditions.
