Summer at Claremont Landscape Garden

Family playing ping-pong by the lake

With its grand old trees, sparkling water and half-hidden follies, it's easy to see why Claremont's listed landscape was renowned throughout Europe in the eighteenth century.

Beautiful vistas and colourful blooms make Claremont a very special place to visit during the summer months. The garden is open every day throughout the summer holidays, including weekends. Take a break from everyday life and spend an atmospheric afternoon recharging yourself in this historic royal landscape.

Summer treats

Girl eating ice cream

Cool down with an ice cream

When the weather is fine, is the perfect time to treat yourself to an ice cream. Whether it's your favourite refreshing ice lolly or a tub of something sweet, we've got your covered. Visit The Cube or our tea-room to find your favourite flavour.

Lakeside strolls

Take an easy walk around Claremont's lake. Acessible (thought slightly bumpy), for wheelchairs and pushchairs, it's perfect for a short, leisurely amble by the water. You might even spot a black swan or Egyptian goose.

Sunbathing

The cool shadows of the trees provide much needed shade on hot days and our deckchairs are a favourite spot to settle down in for a spot of sunbathing. Don't forget the suncream and shades!
