Trust10 run at Coleton Fishacre
The Trust10 is a free monthly 5k and 10km trail run that gives you the opportunity to explore Coleton Fishacre and the surrounding South West Coast Path on the fourth Sunday of every month. The run route gives fantastic coastal views all the way across Lyme Bay to Portland as well as access to the exotic garden at Coleton Fishacre. Please note due to the Coronavirus, all Trust10 runs have been cancelled until further notice.
We are really sorry, but we have cancelled Trust10 trail runs. Like many organisations we need to focus our efforts on dealing with the challenges of the coronavirus outbreak, and want to channel our people and resources into responding to that challenge.
Registration is from 8.30am at Coleton Fishacre car park and the run starts at 9am. The Trust10 is aimed as a step up from Parkrun and is self-led, following way markers along the route. The views from this great off-road route are fantastic, however you have to work for your reward as the route has a number of steep ascents and descents throughout, which will get the heart pumping.
The route is 5km so you can stop after one loop or complete a second one for a 10km run. We’re working on offering a timing system, but at the moment we don’t have one in place; if your time is important to you please remember to bring your own timing device.
The route starts at Coleton Fishacre house and goes straight up the drive before turning right. Here you drop down to the coast path at Scabbacombe Head, which has breath taking views across Lyme Bay (sometimes you can even see Portland on a clear day). Then turn right again and follow the coast path back towards Coleton Fishacre, with open views across Start Bay to Start Point until you reach the bottom of Coleton Fishare garden. Here you turn right again and follow the route back to the house.
