Make the most the gardens this summer. From energetic games to sunset performances, there'll be plenty for all the family to enjoy when you visit this season.

Come out and play activities

This summer, we'll be celebrating the commonwealth games with sports-themed family activities throughout the gardens. Join us for all kinds of energetic activities from 23 July - 4 September. There'll be hurdles, table tennis, rhythmic gymnastics and much more every day, so you can guarantee family fun whenever you visit us during the school holidays. 

'Come out and play' activities are free to enjoy, but normal admission fees apply.

Summer music nights 

Enjoy great live music among the atmospheric backdrop of our gardens on a fine summer evening at no extra cost to your visit. Bring your comfiest camping chairs or your softest blanket along with a picnic of all your favourite treats, sit back and let some of South Wales' most talented musicians serenade you while you watch the sun set on a warm summers day at Dyffryn Gardens.

Ragsy: 22 July, 6.30pm - 7.30pm

Ragsy is a singer / songwriter based in the Rhondda. He will perform acoustic versions of his original songs as well as some cover versions. His music has previously been featured on BBC Radio Wales. Ragsy appeared on The Voice in 2013 and was mentored by Welsh legend Tom Jones. He has since been performing locally, making a name for himself in South Wales and beyond.

The Gentlemen Songsters: 5 August, 6.30pm - 7.30pm 

The Gentlemen Songsters are a male voice choir with a variety of repertoire, from traditional Welsh favourites, through to songs from the musicals and modern contemporary numbers. The performance will celebrate the 70-year history of the choir, performing their best hits from their time performing in Wales.

Katherine Rees and Joshua Lascar Duo: Friday 19th August, 6.30pm - 7.30pm

Katherine Rees and Joshua Lascar are an acoustic jazz duo made up of guitar and voice. With diverse musical backgrounds (from classical to ambient), their wide range of influences makes for an exciting jazz fusion experience. Their set will include original materials alongside covers and well-known jazz standards, something for everyone to enjoy. 

Adventure Cinema

With our stunning vistas, magical arboretum and sprawling meadows it's not as if Dyffryn Gardens needs any more drama, but this summer we've decided to up the anti and have teamed up with Adventure Cinema. Join us from 26 - 28 August for screenings of West Side Story (2021)Mamma Mia and The Princess Bride.
