Victoria sponge cake

A large portion of our produce comes directly from our Kitchen Gardens to be used in the cafe.

The Gardens cafe is nestled by the peaceful nant bran stream, next to the children's play area, offering a selection of delicious cakes and hot meals.

Situated before the pay point it is an ideal spot to enjoy a light snack or meal after a stroll around the gardens.

Our spring menu

Our menu changes seasonally, this is a rough guide on what we offer: 


  • Ham salad
  • Cheese and red onion chutney
  • Smoked salmon and cream cheese
  • Egg mayonnaise and cress

Light meals

  • Mozzarella and spinach panini
  • Jacket potatoe with various fillings 
  • Homemade Welsh rarebit
  • Pea pesto
  • Soups (change regularly) using as much kitchen garden produce as possible

One pots (change regularly)

  • Vegetable and coconut curry
  • Honeyed pork casserole
  • Mixed bean chilli
  • Chicken and spring vegetable stew

Cakes (changes daily)

A selection of homemade cakes and tray bakes, featuring our very own Dyffryn beetroot scones, rhubarb tray bake and many more.

Zero mile produce

We are working hard to become a carbon neutral site. Lots of the dishes on our menu are made using fruits, vegetables and herbs from our Kitchen Gardens. From edible flower salads and beetroot scones to green bean soup we have an array of delicious dishes on offer that change seasonally.
