Summer crafts and indoor fun

Saturday - Wednesday, 10am - 4pm. Free (normal admission charges apply)

Don't worry if the sun doesn't shine all summer, there's plenty to keep the little ones entertained indoors during the school holiday. In the Discovery Room, you can get creative with a free craft activity, changing every week during the holidays. There's also a new "10 things" trail to discover in the house, where you can search for and learn more about some of the items in the house.

Play spaces

Have you completed our new Trim Trail? Behind the tea-room, you'll find this new play space.

Clamber across bridges, balance on logs and tackle the climbing wall. How fast can you complete the trail?

In the Discovery Garden, you can enjoy some wild play. Make the messiest mud pie ever in the mud pie kitchen, play the woodland xylophone, build a den or make a wild art creation on the weaving loom.

Fun and games

On sunny days, the deck chairs and lawn games will be out throughout the gardens. If you're looking for a more relaxing day out, pull up a deck chair and enjoy the peaceful gardens while the little ones play with a selection of traditional lawn games.

All items from the tea-room can be packaged to takeaway, perfect for picnicking or enjoying a fresh coffee or cup of tea in the sunshine.
