Explore Gibside on a free guided walk.

Join walk leaders for a sociable saunter to get outdoors, enjoy the views and spot wildlife along the way. Head back to the café at the end for a well-earned hot drink (optional). This walk is adapted to group ability and could be up to 5 miles. If you feel a shorter, gentler walk would suit you better, check out our Tuesday health walks.
This event is free. Donations are very welcome and will go directly towards caring for heritage and wildlife at Gibside.

The basics
- Suitability
Children are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult.
- Meeting point
Meet outside Market Place café at 10.50am.
- What to bring and wear
Suitable sturdy footwear and comfortable outdoor clothing is advised, including waterproofs in wet weather. We'd recommend bringing a drink too.
- Accessibility
Expect some inclines and uneven terrain, which may be muddy in places following wet weather. Up to 3 group leads will support you along the route.
- Other
Dogs are welcome on leads.
