Camping at Castle Ward, County Down

Visitors sitting outside a camping pod among trees

Overlooking Strangford Lough, the campsite at Castle Ward is a really special spot.

And it's full of things to explore. Make time to marvel at the 'castle' itself - a quirky mid-Georgian mansion, home to the Ward family since the 16th century. Discover the shores of the Strangford Lough, where the water is so clear that it’s possible to spot a grey seal. Or, take in stunning views on a walk through the winding woodland and parkland with the family.

There are even brand new camping pods to stay in. With sheep wool insulation and heating to keep things cosy, these will make any camping adventures extra special.

The campsite is open all year round. For more information please call 028 4488 1204.

We also have camp and caravan sites at Crom, for peace and tranquility under the stars, and Springhill, which has a walled garden and parklands full of paths and trails to explore.
