Explore behind the scenes

From medieval castles to rugged coastlines, immerse yourself in the places that provide the backdrop for your favourite films and TV shows.  Get closer to the mythical world of Game of Thrones at Castle Ward or step inside the home of Batman in the Brecon Beacons. The 88-foot Henrhyd Falls doubled as the caped crusader’s famous lair in The Dark Knight Rises. Experience the awesome power of nature as you walk behind the tumbling water and see the magic for yourself.

Sleep under the stars

Adventures don’t stop when the sun goes down. Spend a week in the wild on a family camping trip at Wicken Fen. Listen for barn owls hooting and badgers snuffling while you toast marshmallows on the fire. Wake up beside the water at Low Wray campsite, nestled on the shores of Lake Windermere. Hire bikes, paddleboards or rowing boats for an action-packed day out before refuelling with tasty pizza from a wood fired oven.

Capture the moment

Get out and about with your camera this year. Head to the Farne Islands to snap puffins perched on the cliffs and grey seals lolling on the rocks. Or escape the crowds at Llyn Ogwen, said to be the resting place of King Arthur’s sword Excalibur. On still days you’ll be able to take pictures of Snowdonia’s rugged peaks reflected in the lake’s serene waters. And with 500 photogenic places to visit with your membership, you’ll never be short of things to capture.
