Friends of Nostell Priory

Visitors in the gardens of Nostell Priory, West Yorkshire.

The Friends of Nostell Priory come from all walks of life and have an interest in the future preservation, conservation and promotion of the property.

What we offer
Arranged by a volunteer committee, our membership is offered a year round programme of social events ranging from talks to plays and musical evenings including visits to places of interest and a short break away.

What we do
Since our formation the Friends have raised over a quarter of a million pounds to support restoration and conservation projects at the property and occasionally, at the Church of Our Lady and St Michael in Wragby. This support has enabled the property to:

  •     dress the State Dining Table
  •     to restore the Library ceiling
  •     restore the Chinese lanterns
  •     commission the lantern on the North Staircase
  •     clean the paintings in both the State Dining Room and the Saloon
  •     install a loop system at the Church

Interested in joining? Pick up a leaflet on your next visit to Nostell to find out more information and fill in the membership form or contact Janice on or 07885 832182.
