Lake District camping

Whether you're a camper, glamper or campervanner, we've got a perfect spot for you in the Lake District. Camp by the lakeshore or babbling beck, in grassy meadows or on pretty woodland pitches.

Reopening information

We’re pleased to be reopening our campsites in the Lake District from Saturday 4 July .

We’re closely following all government recommendations and will continue to reopen gradually and safely, with the health and wellbeing of our guests, staff and volunteers as our top priority.

During this time of reopening, and to ensure social distancing, we can only accept guests who have pre-booked. This is so that we can safely manage the number of guests at our campsites. We’re experiencing unprecedented demand since the government announcement, so July and August are now full. As this is a continually changing situation, any availability will be released online.

Find out more about how we're carefully reopening and operating our campsites, with new procedures and cleaning regimes to ensure the safety of our guests and staff. Guests should visit individual campsite pages for specific details and changes to facilities.

The Lake District is one of the UK's top camping and walking destinations whatever the season and whatever the weather. With lots of weather-proof options, Autumn-time can be a great time to visit with invigorating walks, and cosy evenings around a woodburner or tucked up in your picturesque campervan spot.

Our sites are perfectly placed for walking, cycling, climbing, running and boating. At this time, many indoor spaces such as Wray Castle, Allan Bank and the Sticklebarn pub are still closed but many gardens and all our countryside and car parks are open. It’s best to plan ahead as some places need to be booked in advance. You can check out what’s open in the Lake District by scrolling to the bottom of this page. If you can't decide where to go, our campsite staff love to share their passion for the Lake District - just ask.

Your campsite fees help us to look after the Lakes, so thank you for choosing to stay with us.
