The sight of a butterfly dancing from flower to flower is always a cheerful sight and a welcome sign of warmer days. Join us over half-term and take a wander through Hatchlands Park to see how many you can spot on our butterfly trail.

Hatchlands Park is home to over 25 species of butterfly including the bright yellow brimstone, small white, orange tip, small copper, small tortoiseshell, meadow brown, common blue, large white and red admirals. With their beautiful colours and graceful, darting movement, it’s easy to see why they’re perhaps Britain’s best-loved insect.

Booking your visit

On weekdays you don't need to pre-book your visit. At busier times, like weekends, school holidays or bank holidays, please do book your ticket to guarantee entry. Tickets become available each Friday for the following week. 

Entry and parking is free for members, but please bring your membership card with you. Non-members will need to pay an admission fee when booking. Every Friday we'll release new bookings for visits the following week. You can book up to 18 hours before a timeslot.
