Improving our facilities at The Devil's Punch Bowl cafe

We are building a Changing Places toilet to the rear of The Devil’s Punch Bowl café. This will provide the right equipment and enough space for a person with a disability and up to two carers to use the toilet safely and comfortably.

Why are we doing this?
Changing Places are accessible toilet facilities with additional features including a changing table and hoist. Disabled children and adults with complex needs - for example, multiple disabilities, acquired brain injury, spinal injuries - often need extra facilities and more space than found in more traditional accessible toilets.
The provision of these facilities will enable disabled children and adults with complex needs and their families and carers to enjoy a day out in the beautiful Surrey countryside.

When are we doing this?
Works will start in February and we anticipate them being fully completed in early July 2020.
While there may be some building noise, we hope that the works will not intrude unduly on your café visit. The work areas are contained to the rear of the building which remains open as usual.

We apologise for any inconvenience that these works may cause. Please do speak to a member of our team if you have any questions, or email us at hindhead@nationaltrust.org.uk
