Refreshingly rural and complete with a large private garden, Dan y Gyrn Bunkhouse is a large property that comfortably sleeps up to 15 guests.
Nestled in Upper Tarell valley in the heart of the Brecon Beacons, Dan y Gyrn Bunkhouse is an ideal base for walking groups and adventurous families with a love of the outdoors.
Its remote location means you’ll be a long way from any busy towns. Enjoy the tranquil setting and, after a long day exploring, warm up and relax by the wood burner.
The pretty market town of Brecon is just a short drive from the bunkhouse and is the perfect place to pick up supplies. With traditional butchers selling local Welsh lamb and a number of pretty bakeries, cafés and delis, you’re bound to try a local speciality or two during your stay.

Two dormitories each sleeping six (bunkbeds) with two wash basins in each room. A communal shower rooom (2x showers and 2x toilets) and a drying room.
There is an open-plan kitchen/living room/diner on the first floor (three campbeds can be added on request), with access out to the garden via French windows.
Notes for visitors
Bedding/linen: One pillow per person. Mattress protector, pillow protector, pillow case and bottom sheet provided. There are also six blankets available in the cupboards in the bunk room.
Garden: Spacious enclosed garden at the rear of the bunkhouse with garden furniture and a brick-built rustic BBQ. The garden backs out onto open farmland and commands stunning views of the valley and nearby Craig Cerrig Gleisiad.
Hazards: National Trust workshops and offices are located on site and staff will need constant access to the yard so please park with care. Please note that Dan y Gyrn is located next to a working farm.
