About Dan y Gyrn Bunkhouse

For a Brecon Beacons getaway with your large group, try this 15-sleeper bunkhouse nestled in the Upper Tarell valley.

Refreshingly rural and complete with a large private garden, Dan y Gyrn Bunkhouse is a large property that comfortably sleeps up to 15 guests.

Nestled in Upper Tarell valley in the heart of the Brecon Beacons, Dan y Gyrn Bunkhouse is an ideal base for walking groups and adventurous families with a love of the outdoors.

Its remote location means you’ll be a long way from any busy towns. Enjoy the tranquil setting and, after a long day exploring, warm up and relax by the wood burner.

The pretty market town of Brecon is just a short drive from the bunkhouse and is the perfect place to pick up supplies. With traditional butchers selling local Welsh lamb and a number of pretty bakeries, cafés and delis, you’re bound to try a local speciality or two during your stay.

About the Acorn rating

We have applied a 1-5 acorn rating to each cottage to be used only as a guide that covers location, style of interior and facilities you may be looking for. The range runs from 1 Acorn at a more basic level such as Bird How which due to its stunning yet remote location doesn’t have a caretaker through to 5 Acorns at the highest level – such as Shute Barton.

Cottage pricing is not judged on the Acorn rating alone and as all our cottages are of an individual nature we recommend that all factors are considered when making your choice.
