About How Hill Cottages
A group of five characterful converted barn cottages sleeping 22, perfect for family gatherings or groups of friends holidaying together, clustered around a courtyard and close to the World Heritage site of Fountains Abbey.Five individual cottages sleeping 22 in total.
Get the family or a group of friends together and head to this group of five indvidual cottages, which sleep 22 people in total in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.
Lark, Curlew, Lapwing, Wren and Swallow make up this collection of newly-renovated and beautifully converted 18th-century farm buildings in open countryside. The former cow sheds, grain stores and feed barns are now a series of comfortable holiday homes, benefiting from a sensitive restoration that retained many of the cottages original features.
Your group will love the flexibility that staying in these cottages offers, which means that people get to enjoy their own space as well as coming together for dinners, and days out.
Location-wise, you're under a mile from the glorious Fountains Abbey, so make the most of your break and enjoy free entry to this amazing 12th-century World Heritage Site.
A little further afield, go up hill and down dale on a walk within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. There are hundreds of miles of walking routes to choose from. You’ll also be just 20 miles away from the spa town of Harrogate and 30 miles to the historic city of York for days out.
