We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Low Wray Campsite.
On arrival
You'll find the arrivals car park just before the barrier on the left as you enter the site. Please park up here and report to reception before pitching your tent..
Staff will be still be on site for any queries you may have. To maintain social distancing, please ensure that you pitch in the right spot.
Reception, shop and takeaway breakfast food
Peak season (May half-term/July - August)
Saturday - Thursday: 8am - 7pm
Friday: 8am - 9pm
These hours may vary, please ask at the reception for more details.
We offer freshly baked croissants, pain au chocolates and baguettes from 8 am every morning.
Ice-blocks
We can freeze your own ice-blocks - this is 'self-service' so please ensure to use the hand sanitiser located next to the freezer which is located outside reception. Please place your ice-blocks in carrier bags with your name written on. The freezer is accessible at all times.
Children's play area
The play area is open.
Toilet/shower blocks and extra facilities
We have three shower and toilet blocks dotted around the campsite to service the different camping areas. To ensure social distancing, we’ve partitioned off areas inside each block. Use of the showers is included in your pitch fee. Disabled toilet and shower facilities are available in the toilet block situated in the 'Vic's Meadow' area of the campsite.
Washing-up areas
To help keep your pots and pans sparkling, we have pot washing facilities available at each of the three shower blocks.
Laundry & drying facilities
You’ll be glad to know you can do your laundry on site. Washing and drying room facilities are situated at the rear of the toilet block in the 'Woodlands' area of the campsite. A second drying room is located at the rear of the 'Whitworths/Woodhouse Meadow' toilet block.
Our washing and drying machines accept £1 coins (£3 wash, £2 dry). We advise bringing coins with you as currently, we are unable to handle cash, as well as washing powder (preferably the eco-friendly kind).
Chemical waste facilities
Our chemical waste facility for campervans is located opposite Woodhouse Meadow/Whitworths toilet block.
Canoe and cycle hire and guided outdoor activities
Low Wray Active Outdoors base will be open this season for Kayak, Stand-up paddleboard and Bike hire.
We can also offer advice on local walk, cycle and water routes as well as self-led activities in nature.

Lakeshore access
The campsite has direct access to the lakeshore where you can launch non-powered craft, explore the lakeside beach and go for a paddle or a dip.
General
There’ll be new notices in place in communal areas and we ask campers to kindly observe these to allow everyone on site to have a relaxing holiday. We’d like to gently remind campers that for the safety of guests and staff, to observe a 2m distance rule at all times where possible.
