Sandybury Barn

This modern barn has plenty of rustic features, with exposed stone walls, beams, and huge glazed arch with great views across the countryside from its mezzanine. It's a great place to gather with family and friends, and on the ground floor you'll find a wheelchair-friendly bedroom and shower room as well as accessible features in the kitchen. The barn has plenty of space with a perfect spot for every season, whether you're in front of the woodburner in winter or eating outdoors in summer.

You'll be near Dudmaston, a large working estate which stretches across 3,000 acres of park and woodland, and have free entry during opening hours. There are plenty of paths and trails to enjoy on foot or by bike. There's a rack in the open cart shed next door so you can keep your bikes under cover. The varied habitat of Dudmaston encourages an abundance of different wildlife, from its resident birds to water voles, otters and dragonflies. It's only a short drive to Wenlock Edge and the Long Mynd for walks through the Shropshire countryside.

Dudmaston Hall is at the heart of the estate. This much-loved 17th-century family home has galleries full of art - including work by Hepworth, Moore and Matisse; it's one of the most important collections of modern art in Britain. Wander round the traditional rooms from the panelled entrance hall to the sunlit library with views over the garden. There's a tea-room and second-hand bookshop.
