The Pembrokeshire coast and countryside, with its low levels of light pollution, is home to brilliant, accessible Dark Sky sites offering far-reaching views. These new cottages are in areas recognised by Dark Sky Discovery as great spots for enjoying clear views of the night sky.

Exmoor National Park is a Dark Sky Reserve, and you can stay beneath its special skies when you camp or choose a cottage at Cloud Farm. There are sometimes events in the area to celebrate its dark-sky status.

Stay near the Carding Mill Valley which has minimal light pollution and is so dark it's possible to see the Milky Way with the naked eye.
Here by Hadrian's Wall, the Northumberland International Dark Sky Park is the largest in the UK. The pristine night skies mean you might see the Andromeda Galaxy (2.5 million light years away) with the naked eye.
This small gate lodge is at Mussenden Temple and Downhill Demesne, where you can walk to the coast to see the stars shining over the rugged headland.
The Isle of Wight has plenty of top spots for stargazing, and St Catherine’s Down, with the remains of a 14th-century oratory, is a lovely place to take in the night sky.
This large cottage is near Derwentwater, where the Northern Lights occasionally appear over the water. It's a beautiful spot for stargazing on a clear night.
You can walk to Broadhaven South from this cottage, a spot recognised by Dark Sky Discovery for enjoying clear views of the night sky.
The cottage is below iconic Mam Tor. Walk to the summit for a 360 degree view of the stars. The Northern Lights have been known to appear here on rare occasions.
Ceredigion has great stargazing spots, and the mile-long beach at Penbryn is a must. This cottage is just along the lane from the beach, and if you walk down at dusk you could spot seals and bottlenose dolphins before enjoying the night sky.

This small, quiet site is near the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), which was the first International Dark Sky Reserve in the country.
