Forest Club

Open Trail will be running their Forest School Club throughout the Summer holidays. From Monday, July 25 to Tuesday, 30 August, Forest School Clubs will take place for various age ranges at Kinver Edge. Visit to book a spot today.

Summer holiday forest school sessions at Kinver Edge will be held every Monday and Tuesday during the school summer holidays.

Mondays are toddler mornings and SEN afternoons and Tuesdays are open to all age 4-14.

Build a rope swing, make a mud pie, climb a tree, make a fire, cook up some treats, build an obstacle course, run, fall about and go where your imagination takes you!

Kinver Edge Forest School is a wonderful exciting, nature play experience for ages 4-14.

At Kinver Edge Forest School, children are encouraged to direct their own play and exploration in nature, whilst planned activities are also available.

Children will:

  • Build dens,
  • Create natural shelters,
  • Go on mini-beast hunts and scavenger hunts,
  • Play in the mud kitchen,
  • Climb, build, create and play games,

  • Take part in storytelling,
  • Art and crafts,
  • Practise survival skills,
  • Do bushcraft with knives, saws and drills,
  • Light, maintain fires, and cook over fires.

The tasks increase based on skill level. During sessions, Open Trail use specialised tools such as bow saws, hack saws, knives, hammers and firelighting equipment.
