This winter, many of the houses and gardens in our care will be transformed with Christmas illuminations. From spectacular light shows at big country houses to family-friendly twinkling trails, there's something for everyone.

These popular events feature sound, illuminations and seasonal snacks, and we recommend booking entry in advance.

Belton Estate, Lincolnshire
Surround yourself with sparkling lights at Belton this Christmas. As well as a light trail, there's a festive fairground and seasonal treats to indulge in. This year Christmas at Belton is dog-friendly, for dogs on short leads.Book tickets
Cragside, Northumberland
Cragside will be the home of the UK’s tallest living Christmas tree once again. Standing at more than 42-metres tall – twice the size of the Angel of the North – this magnificent Giant Redwood will be transformed into a dazzling spectacle with more than 1,300 lights.Book tickets

Dunham Massey, Greater Manchester
Christmas at Dunham Massey is celebrating its 10th anniversary this Christmas, with new lights and projections. Bring your friends and family along to discover bright beams among ancient trees, dancing lights on the moat and colourful creations along the estate's winding paths.Book tickets
Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal, North Yorkshire

Sizergh, Lake District
This year's outdoor light trail is designed by local artists and it's the most immersive yet. Inside the house, there'll be an extravagant Georgian winter celebration to enjoy, with seasonal crafts out in the Great Barn. Festive food and drinks are also available.Book tickets
