This time of year is a great chance to get involved in all the tours and talks that take place across the South West everyday. Here are a list of ways to get involved and discover more on a visit.

Step inside the walls of Corfe Castle from 15-23 September and meet some of the diverse wildlife of the surrounding Purbeck landscape. Join local experts in our nature tent and find out more about bats, moths and reptiles.

'Land':nature tales from the Mother of the Mound

Thora, a 3,000 year old spirit, waits to be woken. What pearls of wisdom will she reveal? Join local storyteller Michelle O'Brien as she awakens the Spirit of Nature. Performances last 35 minutes on September 29-30 and will take place at 11am, 12pm, 2pm, 3pm & 4pm

Tyntesfield is home to over forty county champion trees - the tallest, widest, oldest of their species. On these seasonal morning walks, our volunteer tree registrar, Chris Watts, will take you on a journey to find some of the most significant hidden gems and ancient giants.

Guided walking tours of the Kingston Lacy garden and estate 

Add some colour to your week on an exclusive walking tour of the garden and wider estate at Kingston Lacy. Taking place each Wednesday from 5 September – 17 October, these walks will be led by a gardener or ranger. Each one will take in a different part of the garden or wider estate revealing its history and seasonal highlights. A delicious and seasonal lunch lies in wait at the Stables Cafe at the end of each tour. Tickets £20 (includes lunch), booking essential.
