Heritage Open Days near Plymouth

Discover the hidden places, try out new experiences and explore your local history - all for free at Heritage Open Days this September. Taking place over two weekends (6-9, 13-16), the doors will be thrown open to celebrate heritage, community and history across the county. Please note: all National Trust places taking part in Heritage Open Days offer free admission on the specified dates. Not all sites are involved, and the dates and times vary between locations.

Heritage Open Day 

For this year's Heritage Open Day, we will be teaming up with Tintagel Women's Institute to celebrate female writers with links to the local area. The free exhibition will be held in the Women's Institute hall next door to Tintagel Old Post Office on Saturday 15 September. The buildings have a shared heritage - they were once part of the same farm. Nowadays, the W.I. hall is a place for crafts, coffee, cake and conversation.
