August at Lodge Park

Visitors enjoying the grounds at Lodge Park

For the first time Lodge Park will be open every day in August, with plenty to see and do.

From Thursday 1 August to Monday 2 September Lodge Park will be open every day, 11am - 4pm.

During the month there will be plenty of different activities to have a go at. Outside you'll be able to take part in the scavenger hunt to find signs of nature and wildlife, or try your hand at snail racing.

Find out about different animals, including taking a closer look at some owl pellets.

Our resident survival expert will be teaching you how to build a den.

Ever wondered what it would be like to live in the seventeenth century? On Saturday 3 to Monday 5 August Lodge Park will be taken over by the Household who will help you find out. They'll be bringing games and technology for you to try out.

Throughout the month Senior House Steward, Sara, will also be on hard to demonstrate conservation techniques and answer questions. You can also help us take measurements of UV and light to help us monitor the collection.
