Sherborne short woodland walk
This is a short, easy trail with lots of wildlife to see and is especially spectacular in autumn when the Beech Avenue glistens in copper and gold.

Start:
Ewe Pen Barn car park, grid ref: SP158143

Start at the Ewe Pen Barn car park and follow theyellow waymarker. Turn left out of the carpark.
Ewe Pen Barn
Look out for information about the estate on boards in the barn. Through the woodland you might spot some of our raptors such as red kites and buzzards. With the help of our members, supporters and tenant farmers we've been looking after our land to help the bird populations on the estate.
2
Turn left and follow the yellow waymarkers along the footpath alongside the road.
Enjoy the lush woodland and look out for buzzard, roe deer, cowslip and fungi like the shaggy ink cap and bracket fungus.
3
Turn left, again following the yellow route within the estate walls, alongside the A40.
Golden beeches
This row of beeches are especially glorious in the autumn when their gold and copper leaves shimmer in the bright sunlight.

Follow the yellow waymarkers left again, down Beech Avenue.
