Wild Wednesdays at Lyveden
This Summer investigate Lyveden's wilder inhabitants with our fun 'Wild Wednesday' activities.
Get involved with hands-on activities for all ages including pond-dipping in the moats, counting butterflies in the long grass or graffiti hunting around the garden lodge. Activities vary from week to week.
25/07/2018 - Join volunteers from the British Dragonfly Society and learn more about the creatures that call Lyveden home.
01/08/2018 – Froglife are coming to Lyveden for some pond dipping fun to find out what's lurking beneath the surface in the moats. This week we've also got volunteers onsite leading a Butterfly Count and talking about all the different species of butterfly you can spot at Lvyeden.
08/08/2018 - Join in our graffiti survey and help us uncover the stories behind the carved initials and mysterious symbols that cover the walls of the garden lodge.
15/08/2018 - Ever wanted to find out what lives inside a tree? Join our bug hunt to learn more about the insects that make woods and hedgerows their home. You can also make your own bug house for the creepy crawlies in your own garden.
22/08/2018 - Help the birds in your garden keep hunger at bay by making your very own bird feeder to display proudly in your garden.
29/08/2018 – Froglife are back again - this time take part in art activities and all sorts of fun!
Activities run from 11:00-16:00 each Wednesday, normal admission applies for adults but all children are free.
