Melford Hall needs you!

Room guide and visitor at Melford Hall

Have you spare time on your hands? Do you want to meet people and chat? Perhaps you would like to be part of a team and make new friends, have new experiences, learn something new. What about working in a wonderful environment, surrounded by beautiful furniture, fine paintings and friendly people. If this appeals then you are just the person we are looking for to join the Room Guide volunteers at Melford Hall.

Melford Hall is a beautiful country residence, with an eclectic mix of styles.   It has history, trials and tribulations in bucket loads.  What better place to spend a few hours a week.   We are looking for more Room Guide volunteers to join our current team.  We open from Wednesday to Sunday, plus Bank Holidays, from 1.00pm – 5.00pm, from late March to the end of October, but you are free to give as much or as little time as you wish.

The role will involve talking to our visitors, answering their questions and sharing the stories surrounding the house.  You will receive as much help and guidance as you need to ensure that you find this an enjoyable and fulfilling time. If you love art, or history, or have an appreciation of fine antiques, or are keen on ensuring our heritage is maintained for future generations why not find out if this is for you.
